Coach Hayden’s martial arts training began at the age of 5 under Mrs. Kim Mattevi in traditional Karate. Having trained and competed almost nonstop ever since, he tested for his first degree adult black belt in 2008 under Master Gary Mattevi and is currently a third degree black belt in Karate. In 2007, he began training in Muay Thai under Master Mattevi and Gracie Jiu-jitsu under Cris Johnson in the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association. Coach Hayden was promoted to his purple belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by Professor Pedro Sauer in May of 2014 and earned his black sash in Muay Thai in June 2013 from Master Mattevi. He has been actively instructing kids and adults in Karate since 2008 and since May 2012, has been professionally instructing kids and adults (ages 4 and up) in Karate, Muay Thai and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Hayden competes regularly in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling tournaments, Muay Thai, and MMA. He has had the pleasure to train under great Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu coaches at The Academy and trained under Professor Pedro Sauer directly in Brazil, July 2012, August 2013 & August 2014.

Best instructors.. Top of the line mixed martial arts school. Coach Hayden had improved my ground game leaps and bounds from when I first started. Just give it a try and you will be hooked whether your a beginner or more advanced!

We attend the Academy as a family, with children from age 4 to 8. The coaches have been exceptional, well-qualified and well-trained, friendly and give personal attention and advice to each individual. It has helped our children with self-discipline, motivation, focus as well as helping them gain physical coordination and strength. We highly recommend the Academy to individuals or families.
